Unite, the trade union that represents British Airways' cabin crew, has announced that it will strike on March 20, 21, 22, and then again on March 27, 28, 29, 30, 2010.

British Air is working on a contingency plan and will publish a flying schedule around March 15th. In the meantime, they are not selling additional seats on these dates.

They have also announced that in the event of a strike:

- Flights from London City Airport to and from New York (JFK) will operate as normal and any changes to bookings on these flights are subject to the original fare rules.

- All longhaul flights to and from London Gatwick Airport will continue to operate normally and any changes to bookings on these flights are subject to the original fare rules.

- For all other flights (including all flights into and out of London Heathrow Airport), they are offering passengers scheduled to fly between March 19 and March 31 the ability to change or cancel their flights for no penalty.

If you are booked on British Air and may be affected by this strike, please contact one of our travel counselors for assistance with a cancellation or rebooking.
