Delta Air Lines is going “plastic only.”
To make in-flight service quicker and easier, the carrier has announced plans to only accept credit cards – no cash – for payments for food, alcoholic beverages, or on board entertainment. The new policy will take effect on December 1st and will apply on all Delta and Northwest flights in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Bermuda and the Caribbean.
Delta will continue to accept cash, in addition to credit cards, on all trans-Atlantic, trans-Pacific and South American flights, as well as for all duty-free items.
