Easily replicate reoccurring meetings with a clone or meeting template in Gather
Do your traveling job candidates always come to the same places? Or your meetings always occur in the same places? In either case it would be nice to create a template or clone meetings so you can get these similar meetings set up even faster. Here's how you can do that in Gather.
- Clone an existing meeting
- Create a template from an existing meeting
- Create a template from scratch
- Create a new meeting from a template
Note that cloning and templates carry over your meeting start and end times (but not dates), flight, hotel, car rental, approver and optional billing fields. When cloning you can decide whether to include the same attendees. And you can revise any of these in your new meeting.
Clone: Cloning an current or past meeting is really easy, just find a current or past meeting in your Gather page, then click the Clone icon in the lower righthand corner of the meeting:
From there you can set the new meeting's name, dates and times (the location will carry over from the original meeting), decide whether to include the same attendees from the initial meeting, and click Clone Meeting to create the new meeting.
From there you can revise any meeting details, add or remove attendees, and invite your attendees via email or the Gather link.
Template (option 1): There are two ways to create a template. First, you can create a template from a current or past meeting. Use the Clone button on the meeting (same as above) then check "Clone as a new template" to create a new template from that existing meeting:
Template (option 2): You can also create a new template from scratch, clicking from your Gather page over to Templates then clicking Add a New Template:
From there you can add meeting details for the template including the template meeting name, type, start time and end time (the date will be set when you clone the template), location and any notes. Once you click Create to create the template, you can set flight, hotel, car rental, approver and optional billing fields for the template.
Using a template: Ready to create a new meeting from a template? Navigate back to your Templates then click to Create a new meeting from this template for the appropriate template:
