Gmail and Outlook try to help track itineraries by automatically adding them to your calendar -- here's how to stop that.

Gmail and Outlook are trying to be helpful when they automatically add flights, hotel stays and car rentals to your calendar. They read your email, then use information from your itinerary confirmations to populate calendar events -- which may be helpful if it's your trip or a trip you need to track, but really annoying if you're getting confirmations for many travelers!
