Easily capture the price for an alternate itinerary to share in your trip approval
Note: this article is specifically written for organizations and travelers that require price comparisons. For example you're invited to book a roundtrip but you want to return to a different city or stop in a different city en route. Follow these steps to capture the price for the originally-intended roundtrip.
This function can be performed on desktop or mobile, here we show desktop. (The key difference is Steps 4-5 where mobile screen capture is different.)
AmTrav makes it easy to capture prices for different itinerary options. In this example we'll capture a Chicago-Washington roundtrip that we've been invited to book, but we're booking Chicago-Washington/Washington-Miami and need to share the comparison with our inviting organization.
Step 1: Click on Flights & Rail on the left-hand menu.

Step 2: Select Round-Trip at the top of the page (it's the default). Enter the original From and To locations that you'd book, along with your originally-invited departure and return dates. Click Search:

Step 3: In your search results select the original flights that you would choose if you were traveling on a roundtrip, you can select by clicking on the fare. Repeat for the return leg (so pick Chicago-Washington then pick a flight for Washington-Chicago). Make sure to pick reasonably-priced itineraries in the cabin you're expected to book.

Step 4: You've landed on the Trip Details page, it's time to record the price comparison! You need to print this page, so right click and select "Print" or click CTRL+P (PC) or Shift+Command+3 (Mac). Note that this page includes alternate (cheaper) itineraries at the bottom, and an out-of-policy disclosure if the itinerary breaks policy.

Note that you will not continue past the Trip Details page, will not actually book this itinerary.
Step 5: Select either Save as PDF or Print to PDF, then Print. From there you can save the PDF to your computer.

Step 6: This is your price comparison! You can now share the price for your originally invited-itinerary (Chicago-Washington roundtrip), then book the itinerary you want (Chicago-Washington/Washington-Miami) with the price comparison reported for any reimbursement or split payment needs.
