AmTrav Announces NDC Adoption Rate, New Air and Rail Booking Options

Written by Elliott McNamee | July 16, 2025

Chicago, IL, July 16, 2025 – AmTrav, a leading business travel management platform, today announced its NDC (New Distribution Capability) adoption rate in Q2, plus new content options in the AmTrav platform with a new Frontier Airlines NDC partnership, new United Airlines ancillary bundle options, and new Brightline rail options.

AmTrav’s NDC Booking Adoption

AmTrav’s 61% NDC booking adoption rate* in Q2 2025 demonstrates the maturity and value of AmTrav’s NDC technology for AmTrav customers.

Travelers, bookers and travel administrators appreciate the savings, additional options, and complete servicing with seamless NDC technology in AmTrav’s platform:

  • Lowest fares: NDC delivered lower fares 21% of the time in Q2** (compared to non-NDC technology), delivering the same lowest fares that customers find on airline websites.
  • Options: Customers access the full array of seating and ancillary options, including free and paid seats like American’s Main Plus bundle and United’s ancillary options.
  • Booking: NDC works seamlessly, including combining NDC and non-NDC flights, applying unused tickets, booking oneways, roundtrips and multi-city itineraries.
  • Servicing: Itineraries booked via NDC are fully serviceable, both with AmTrav’s 24x7 all-employee, all-U.S.-based Travel Advisors and in AmTrav’s self-service Change Trips on desktop web and mobile app.

Clients pay no additional AmTrav fees for booking and servicing NDC trips.

“We’re not religious about how we connect to airlines,” said Jeff Klee, CEO of AmTrav. “But we’re not afraid of hard work either. We will use whatever technology is available that gets our customers the lowest fares and best servicing. Right now, that happens to be NDC for three of the four largest U.S. carriers and many other airlines around the world. Many business travel platforms are struggling to deliver the lowest fares with consistent servicing, but AmTrav customers get the lowest fares in AmTrav’s platform and with AmTrav Travel Advisors.”

AmTrav uses NDC technology to book and service eight airlines: American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Breeze Airways and Hawaiian Airlines, plus Frontier Airlines (announced below), with two more NDC connections in active development. AmTrav also offers additional content from JSX.

AmTrav Adds Frontier Airlines NDC, Offers United Airlines Ancillary Bundles

AmTrav customers now have access to the same pricing, itinerary and service options available through Frontier Airlines’ website and mobile app, plus United Airlines ancillary bundles.

Frontier Airlines NDC provides AmTrav clients with access to Frontier's fare bundles across North America. Travelers can select from Basic, Economy, Premium, and Business bundles. Premium and Business bundles include seat assignments, carryon baggage, and waived change fees. Business bundle passengers receive Up Front Plus seating in the first two rows with guaranteed blocked middle seats for additional space and comfort.

AmTrav customers have accessed United Airlines’ lowest fares since 2023 thanks to AmTrav’s United NDC connection, and now have access to United Airlines ancillary bundles that include prepaid wifi, prepaid first checked baggage and United Club lounge passes. Along with seamless access to free, paid and MileagePlus Premier-entitled seats and a 360 degree immersive seat view, one-stop access to these ancillary options in AmTrav’s platform increases booker and traveler productivity both at booking and on the road.

Platform Now Includes Brightline High-Speed Rail

Business travelers using AmTrav now have easy access to Brightline rail options in Florida, complementing AmTrav’s existing Amtrak options across North America.

Brightline offers high-speed rail options for corporate travelers connecting South Florida with Orlando. Travelers can book Smart class service between convenient downtown stations in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando (with Tampa service and Los Angeles-Las Vegas service planned). Brightline's brand-new trains offer comfortable seats with 39 inch pitch and power at every seat, plus fast, free Starlink wifi.
