Traditionally, corporate travel management companies have offered base pricing models where there is one fee for a “no touch” booking (where you book everything by yourself and no one at the travel agency needs to touch it) and a higher fee for a “touch” booking (where at some point on the trip you need to contact a travel advisor). They add various extra fees on top of that for things like ticket changes, after-hours support, etc.
We wanted to have a really simple pricing model that doesn’t penalize you for reaching out to our great travel advisors, but we ran into a problem. While many companies love the simplicity and predictability of a fixed monthly management fee, others have pushed back on that model because they rather costs be fully allocated to individual trips. There are also some who want a combination of the two -- they like the idea of using a monthly fee to "pay down" the cost per trip. Each of these positions is reasonable, so we decided to accommodate all of them.
A trip to us is a single booking, whether you make it yourself with our online booking tool a2b, or with the help of one of our travel advisors via phone, email, Slack, or chat. Multiple flights, hotels, and cars can all be part of a trip. You don’t have to book everything at once; for instance, you can book your flights and later add a hotel. It will still be one trip for billing purposes.
A monthly management fee is a flat fee that we bill your company every month. You can choose a monthly-fee-only plan and pay one simple fee for unlimited use of our platform and access to our travel advisor team.
At some point, yes. Monthly fees are loosely tied to the number of travelers in your organization. If your number of travelers grows (or shrinks) significantly we will contact you to work out an appropriate adjustment.
No! Although airlines or hotels might have a penalty, there is no extra AmTrav charge no matter how many changes you need to make.
No! We don’t have those traditional barriers or distinctions. With AmTrav you can reach out as many times as you need by phone, chat, email, or even Slack. We don’t charge extra for helping you.
No problem and no charge! AmTrav’s U.S.-based travel advisors are available 24x7 for no extra charge.
No! There is no setup or implementation fee; no extra fee for advisor-assisted bookings; and no surcharges for specific suppliers that may be harder for us to connect with. There are no other AmTrav charges above and beyond what our supplier partners (airlines, hotels, car vendors, etc.) charge for their services.
Yes! And we will waive any per-trip fees for personal bookings.
